Where do you see yourself in ten years

This is one of my least favorite interview questions. I get what they’re trying to ask me and for the most part its a fair question. The problem I have is that technology is changing so quickly, I have no idea what it is I’m going to be doing.
At the weekend, I ran into an old school friend and we got chatting about how scary it was that it was 10 years ago since we left secondary school. It got me thinking about how things have changed over the last 10 years.
2006 was a very different place. Facebook was just opening up for general access and the first tweet was being sent. iPhones and Android didn’t even exist yet. Many of the technologies that we take for granted barely existed and neither did a lot of the jobs that use those technologies.
Who knows what the next ten years? Are we finally going to see the rise of AI? Is the future smart homes or smart cities? Will drivable cars take off? Will we see the convergence of VR and Live Streaming? Will it be something we’ve seen before or will it something completely unimaginable?
So where do I see myself in 10 years? I haven’t a clue but I look forward to finding out.
